Six months ago I walked out of my job as a customer service representative for a large call center. I found I could not handle the stress of answering phones eight hours a day, with not even a brief second to catch my breath between calls. The “Call Center Blues” had gotten me down.
Make sure you set up your office space so that it works for you. The best way of organizing a home office will depend on what type of business you are operating. This gets overlooked so much but we must watch and train the proper way for supervisors to handle those that they do not have “authority” over. How do they handle business relationships with peers, those above them and with those in other departments? As with most other network marketing companies, the price is grossly inflated because of the opportunity to sell it. The lights are bright. Yes, the lights are bright to allow for growth, but at times the light is so bright that when the garden turns on it can disturb your sleep if it is in the middle of the night. I have mine in the kitchen and can see the light in the middle of the night in my bedroom.
Another thing I enjoy is smelling the sweet flowers in the neighborhoods, people watching, and seeing the interesting architecture. In one area there are houses that come to a point angle, not a flat front. I guess so they can have more house on the small space.
Hold Your Ground – There will be times when a customer will try to get you to violate company policies. or even ask you to do something illegal. You’ll need to hold firm to your training and refuse to do anything unethical. If you have trouble saying “I’m sorry, I am not able to do that,” you might want to rethink working in a call center.
